Our Story
On January 7th, 2017 we woke up to a full Snow Day in New York City! It was one of the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. The city was covered in white snow. We spent the day trying not to get too cold by having brunch in side at Sadelle's in SoHo. Than we made our way through Washington Square Park and the Flatiron District. Christopher had been telling he really wanted to go to Central Park! Because who many times of your life can you go to Central Park, while it's snowing!
We came off the subway on the lower east corner of the park and it was the most beautiful site I had ever seen. We strolled through the different parts of the park, taking many photographs, and we came upon this beautiful patch right below the Gansevoort Bridge.
I held onto Chris as he began to tell me how much he loved me and that there was something he wanted to do before he left to start his first job at Saatchi & Saatchi while I was back in Arizona finishing my last semester of college. He got down on one knee and said, "I want to be with you for the rest of my life; Will you marry me?" I started crying tears of happiness and pretty sure I said the words, "yes!"
I was so overjoyed and as we turned around there was standing a professional NYC photographer taken photos of the special moment we just had. Christopher had pretended to be texting a "George" all day and know to clicked, "George" was the secret photographer coming to shoot our engagement! We spent the next hour doing a photoshoot in snowy Central Park. Christopher made reservation at The Breslin, inside of The Ace Hotel in Manhattan. We enjoyed our dinner together as an engaged couple, and later on went to go see our first Broadway show together, Aladdin! It was the best day of my life, and we are so excited to get married.
